High-quality fractal generator (several kinds and many colouring algorithms) particularly optimised for real-time rendering and interactive "navigation" through the fractal image (zooming, shifting, rotating). It is able to generate smooth fractal animations even on relatively slow computers.
Ported to many operating systems (Linux, BeOS, OS/2, DOS, Windows), and supports several graphic output methods in Linux (svgalib, aalib, ggi, X11).
The package also contains a lovely intro "What is a fractal" and the ability to create one's own intros using a simple macro language.
